Custom Treated Lumber
- NorthWind can pressure treat customer-supplied lumber with Chromated Copper Arsenate (CCA)*.
- CCA contains inorganic arsenic, chromium and copper to protect the wood from fungal decay and termite attack.
- Using water as a carrier, the preservatives are fixed in the wood and become highly leach resistant.
- The pressure treatment process forces K-33® CCA preservatives into the wood’s cellular structure to provide long-lasting, in-depth protection from fungal decay and termites. Properly processed wood can last 5 to 10 times longer than untreated wood.
IMPORTANT NOTE *: “Wood treated with CCA should be used only where permitted”.
